DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Williamsburg

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The customer service was outstanding. Terry was friendly, professional, and truly made me feel welcome. And I can’t forget the fresh cookies! They were warm and soft. Such a simple touch, but it made the stay feel extra cozy and inviting. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a wonderful stay and truly appreciate the amazing service I received. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and welcoming. Terry was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my stay. It’s the small gestures that make a big difference, and I was especially thankful for the complimentary cookie. It added a sweet touch to an already great experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

I loved my little experience here thanks to Terry. He's so nice saying hi to everyone when they walk in and talk to them. Im shy right, but I called the front desk to ask a question and then immediately walked over since Terry was able to save me from embarrassment! He just giggled at me laughing at myself and I noticed what a genuine good soul of a person he is that extended beyond customer service. The hotel is nice and everything but he truly made the difference in the environment.

Fantastic visit through and through. The breakfast buffet has a nice variety, rooms were clean, and best of all were the staff. Every single employee I encountered was friendly and helpful, and made my stay exceptional.

I stayed for the Scares that Care convention in February. So this was off season. The hotel is conveniently located next to Busch Gardens. The rooms are clean. The convention space is enormous. The hotel is a lot bigger than it looks. There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The game room is really lacking on 3 or 4 machines. The hotel has several restaurants, but I didn't eat at any of them. Varities of Food is a walkable distance away. The only knock I have with the staying there was that you can hear everything going on in the hallway because of the space at the bottom of the doors. I could see this being a problem if you retire early and kids are running around slamming doors late. Other than that it was an excellent experience staying there.

This is our fourth or fifth year staying here for AuthorCon. Terry checked us in and was welcoming from the beginning. Everyone on their team embraces Scares that Cares and they go all out to be welcoming of the convention. In previous years the drinks were really expensive, but we found them more reasonably priced this year. The food tends to be expensive for what you get. The hotel rooms could use some updating, especially the bathrooms. The lobby area, bar, cafe and convention areas are nice. Its furthest away from the historical areas, but is perfect if you are specifically going to Busch Gardens. There are a few good restaurants close by, too.

Beautiful hotel amazing location and the staff is so sweet. I would like to give a shout out to Stephanie who works in the made market shop. She was super friendly and bubbly and made my kiddos day by giving her a pair or Mardi gras glasses (we were going to busch gardens for the last weekend of the festival) she really helped make this trip memorable and we will be back :) thanks Steph!
